THE CHURCH OF THE SPIRIT OF SANTO

Location: Inside the walls surrounding the Almocabar Arch in The suburb of San Francisco.

Constructed by order of Fernando the Catholic, the church was completed in 1505 - a year that also saw the death of Queen Isabel. The church consists of a 30 metre long and 9 metre wide nave, at the end of which lie a large pulpit and a Baroque-style altar with stone carvings of three coats of arms. The style of the church is serious and austere, characteristics that denote the fact that it was constructed during times of war.

Opening hours: Saturday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:30
