HISTORY
Ronda
is situated in the far northwest of the province of Málaga,
in a natural basin formed by an unbroken range of low mountains.
Both these physical characteristics and the region's climate
have had a significant impact on the history of the region.
Ronda
is one of the oldest cities in Spain, and can trace its
origins back to prehistoric times. The Cave of Pileta, with
its rock paintings, and numerous collections of Megalithic
monuments are among the region's most outstanding landmarks.
